Colorado Springs-area home construction continued its blistering pace in the first quarter, although one economist fears an oversupply could drive down prices in the next few years. Single-family home building permits totaled 1,392 from January through March — a 20.2 percent jump from the same period last year, according to figures released Friday by the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department.
